This site was born out of a desire, first and foremost, to honor Michael's memory.  This is a celebration of Michael, of his life, of the love he left, the example he set.  It's a celebration of who he was and is, his accomplishments, and his humanity.

This site is a look at the often-times overwhelming, challenging and beautiful, and sometimes painful journey that was the life of Michael Jackson.

No doubt, Michael Jackson's music and dance has been a major part of many of our lives, a virtual soundtrack going back to the Jackson 5 songs when those in my generation were young kids, all the way up to his more current music.  His music has been a part of our entire lives.  You hear his music playing, you see his dance moves, and there is something so familiar about it all.  His music and talent, touched a generation, and, touched the whole world.  But there was more to this story.  Beyond the music, beyond the dance, beyond the talent and beyond the tabloid headlines, there was a man, a human being, who hungered to be known and who many of us never really got a closer look at.  That is what this site is all about.

I approached the project with a desire for truth, with a hunger for wanting to know more about this man who seemed to be painted by the media as sub-human and strange.  I knew in my heart that there was something amiss about who the media said Michael Jackson was, and, who he really was.  As I went about the research, I was amazed to find out just how much different he was than what we have been spoon fed by sensationalism for so many years.  So different in fact, that if all you've known about Michael Jackson is what you've read and heard in the media, then you are going to have your socks blown off!

I really wanted to bring to light as much as possible, who he was a person, to recognize all of the good he did with his life and in this world.  To help others really search out the truth about him and in doing so, learn to search out the truth in all things.  I believe that by arming yourself with knowledge and truth, that the dark places are lit up and things become clearer.  Knowledge and truth overcome rumors, speculation and lies.

The truth needs to be told!  Who was Michael, really?  So many knew of his talent but how many knew the true Michael and what he really stood for?  How many knew the mission Michael had to help heal the world, and all that he did towards helping that come to pass?  Rumors, speculation and lies have followed Michael his entire life and even followed him in death, with some even capitalizing on his fame and his death by writing, publishing or saying things about him at what would seem the worst possible time.  Hurtful not only to Michael and how people think of him, but also to his family.

There are tabloid media shows who continue to exploit Michael even now, 2 1/2 months after his passing, at the time of this page's creation, with ridiculous claims and outright lies, still trying to make the public believe Michael was someone very different from who he truly was,  for the very selfish motives of boosting their ratings.  They are still using him, even now.  That's inexcusable.

No matter what Michael said, the public stopped believing him because of the garbage that the media was reporting.  I'm sure you can imagine how frustrating that would be if that happened to you.  Michael was, and is still being judged unjustly because the judgements about his character, his faith, who he was, are being based on untruths, lies, speculations, rumors and hearsay.  How about we get to know the real Michael Jackson, who he really was, and then make up our mind?

While working on this project, I took Michael's advice from his interview done with Ebony where he speaks about the creative process and mentions that you need to forget yourself and leave room for God to walk into the room.  That has driven my direction for this project.

This site is about the Michael that you most likely didn't know.  The Michael that the media had no interest in because it didn't make a sensational story intent on good ratings.  This, is who Michael really was, and I urge you to take the time to listen and watch and read the interviews included here, to read Michael's words, to seek truth about the allegations and the trial (of which much information is provided here).  I urge you to get to know who Michael Jackson...the artist, musician, inventor, humanitarian and most importantly, the human being, really is.

This site is also about sharing Michael's vision of healing the world through love.

I have come to realize that Michael was not only the greatest performer of our time, but a human being and child of God, and throughout this process, I have come to see Michael as God sees him....beautifully and wonderfully created, a gift to this world, a man who struggled with and had to endure more than most of us can even imagine and someone set aside for a very special purpose.  Michael loved God, and, God loved Michael.

Most of us are too quick to judge.  Too quick to believe things we hear.  Too quick to put others down.  As the song says, we need to all take a look in the mirror and make a change.  Change starts with us.  Michael was a living example of that.

We need to remember that Michael was not only a musical and dancing genius and a humanitarian, but he was also a human being.

One of Michael's desires was to make this world a better place.  We can all do our part in making that dream a reality.

Treat others with kindness and love.  Try to understand rather than judge.  Get out there and share our own gifts with the world, because our Creator gave each and every one of us special gifts that, if shared, will have a positive effect on the world, just as Michael's did.

About Me:

I am an entertainment writer/journalist and have a passion both for writing and the performing arts.

Michael Jackson was someone who inspired me on so many levels.  As a dancer, musically, emotionally and he was a pivotal figure in my making a decision to become an entertainment writer.

I had always hoped to be able to interview Michael and tell his story.  Now, in honor of him, I hope that this website will help others get to know Michael a little bit more on a personal level.  Who he was as a person versus who the tabloids had us believing he was.  To search out the truth.

Michael, this site is in honor of you and is dedicated to God, to you Michael and to your kids, Prince, Paris and Blanket.  I hope I am able to do it justice and I pray that it honors your memory as I hope it will.  I only wish I could have done this for you while you still walked this earth.  But I know you are in a better place, kneeling before the King of Kings.

Rest in peace dear brother.

About This Site...
":Well done my good and faithful servant."
Matthew 25:23
The name for this website was chosen because the "dance" stands for so many things, especially when it comes to Michael Jackson.  First, he was an amazing dancer.  One of the most amazing we have seen in our lifetime.  Even Fred Astaire himself concurred.  Michael also explains in "Dancing the Dream" his feeling that "the world we live in is the dance of the creator and that dancers come and go in the twinkling of an eye, but the dance lives on."  We see a reflection of ourselves in a mirror, which reminds us of Michael's "Man in the Mirror."   Michael was a reflection of all of us and we all need to look in the mirror to make this world a better place.
"Reflectionsonthedance.com" stands for a looking back, an appreciation, a paying respect and tribute to, the life and dance, that was Michael Jackson.

If you are a fan of Michael's, I hope that this site gives you a sense of peace about who Michael really was and confirms what you probably already knew.

If you're a skeptic, this site is for you as well.  I hope you will take the time to read, watch and search out the truth and I hope that you too, will get a glimpse into who Michael really was and a newfound appreciation for the man behind the "King of Pop" title.

When I first heard of Michael's passing, I, along with the rest of the world, mourned.  I felt as if I had lost one of my best childhood friends or a family member.

I think that's because, Michael gave to the world his soul.

Through his music, his humanitarian efforts and sharing the gift of himself, he allowed us a glimpse of what God-given talent and genius, along with a gentle spirit, could accomplish.

As an entertainment writer, I felt a special affinity for Michael.  His dancing was phenomenal and as a dancer, he inspires me.  Many years ago, it was his personality, music and amazing talent that caught my attention and first gave me inklings into my desire to make a career out of talking with people in the entertainment industry and telling their stories.  I had always wished to one day, be able to talk with and interview Michael.  I knew that with my style of wanting to bring out the best in entertainers and feature their humanity versus their celebrity, that I could do justice to Michael's story.

Sadly, that won't ever come to pass.  Despite the sadness I feel over that and the intense sadness I feel over Michael's passing, I wanted to find a way to give back and to help others see the real Michael...outside of the cameras, the media hype, the sensationalism.  I only wished I could have done this while Michael was still living.

I hope that this project and ensuing website will help serve as a vehicle to continue Michael's dream of making the world a better place and I hope that through this website, you will be able to see the world through Michael's eyes and see into his heart and what he had hoped to give to the world.

I hope to do that through the written word, through sharing some of Michael's words, sharing photos, separating facts from media sensationalism and talking with those who knew Michael best.  It is my hope to shed light on some of the most misguided information that is out there and in doing so, allow you to see the beautiful person Michael was.  The same beautiful person he tried to share with the world via his music and dancing and his written works, while still respecting the privacy that he so desperately needed and wanted.

When I started my research for this website, I came across tons of information.  I had to sort through a lot to get to the truth.

In that search, I came to a place where I started to research what Michael Jackson believed.  During one of these times of intense research, I was searching for the source of a specific quote by Michael, and came upon a website where people were discussing Michael Jackson's salvation or lack thereof.

I met a group of women from all over the world.  All searching for the same thing....to either be reassured of Michael's salvation, or to defend Michael's good name and what he believed (one of the women personallly knew Michael).  We came against a lot of attack as some wanted to condemn Michael for his dance moves or for not doing "enough" good works.

Several of us were kicked off of different forums because the attitudes there were very legalistic and judgemental.  In this process, myself and another woman nearly lost touch with one another, until she too ended up on this same thread where the original group of us met.  We would have completely lost touch because the owner of the blog we were posting on, deleted our posts and we had no way of getting back in touch.  We didn't even know one another's last names.

It was at this time that I started to realize just how much God has His hand in this project and He has continued to.

We are women from all over the world...the US, Austria, India, the UK, New Zealand, Brazil....and yet, we all still keep in touch on nearly a daily basis.

We were all brought together in our quest to know the truth about Michael and to defend his good name and we all still remain together.

These ladies were a pivotal support system for me during the process of creating the website and they got a "sneak peek" right before it went live to the rest of you.  They have been a shelter in the storm for me, a lighthouse beacon and a sense of comfort.

This video was made by one of these very special and dear friends of mine, Cherry St. Natis. and it features a beautiful song "I Am Not Forgotten", along with images of all of us, and Michael, because, God does not forget us and He did not forget Michael.

God Bless You All my Dear Sisters and Friends and God Bless All of You who view this site in search of and support of the truth about Michael Joseph Jackson.
