The 1993 Case...
Did you realize that Jordan Chandler, the boy behind the 1993 allegations, denied that Michael ever did anything improper to him UNTIL Michael refused to fund Evan Chandler's (the boy's father) new movie project for $20 million?  Which ended up being the same amount that Michael ended up having to settle for?  Evan Chandler, who was a dentist and aspiring screenwriter, claimed that he gave his son a mind-altering barbituate drug during a tooth extraction and that under this drug, the boy admitted wrong-doing on Michael's part. Geraldine Hughes, who was the legal secretary to Barry Rothman (the lawyer Evan Chandler contacted), was witness to the extortion.   There is much more to this story though, as you'll find out in my interview with Geraldine Hughes,  Evan (Jordan Chandler's father) was taped saying that he was going to ruin Michael Jackson.  Coincidence?
Heartfelt video of Michael after the 1993 allegations were brought against him.  This was broadcast worldwide
"There have been many disgusting statements made recently concerning allegations of improper conduct on my part.  These statements about me are totally false as I have maintained from the very beginning.

I am hoping for a speedy end to this horrifying, horrifying experience to which I have been subjected....

I will say that I am particularly upset by the handling of this mass matter by the incredible, terrible mass media.  At every opportunity, the media has dissected and manipulated these allegations to reach their own conclusions.

I ask all of you to wait and hear the truth, before you label or condemn me.  Don't treat me a like a criminal, because I am innocent.

....It was a nightmare, a horrifying nightmare.  But if this is what I have to do to prove my innocence, my complete innocence, so be it.  (Speaking of the strip search and photographs taken of Michael's private body parts during the investigation)

Throughout my life, I have ony tried to help thousands upon thousands of children to live happy lives.  It brings tears to my eyes when I see any child who suffers.  I am not guilty of these allegations.  But if I am guilty of anything, it is in giving all that I have to give to help children all over the world.  It is of loving children of all ages and races.  It is of gaining sheer joy of seeing children with their innocent and smiling faces.  It is of enjoying through them the childhood that I missed myself.

If I am guilty of anything, it is of believing what God said about children.  "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for such is the kingdom of Heaven."

In no way do I think that I am God, but I do try to be God-like in my heart.

I am totally innocent of any wrongdoing and I know these terrible allegations will all be proven false.

Again, to my friends and fans, thank you very much for all of your support.  Together we will see this through to the very end.  I love you very much and may God bless you all.  I love you.

Regarding the 1993 allegations and payout

He admitted earlier this month that "years ago" he had paid "certain people" who "wanted to exploit my concern for children".

In a 1993 case, Mr Jackson agreed to pay a boy he was accused of molesting a reported $20m (£11m). Police also learned of a separate case in 1990.

Mr Mesereau said on Friday Mr Jackson had been pressured to make payments by his advisers and by a music industry that "did not want negative publicity from these lawsuits interfering with their profits", when confronted with past allegations.

He said: "Many years ago, he did pay money rather than litigate two false allegations that he had harmed children.

"Mr Jackson now regrets making these payments. ... Mr Jackson always denied doing anything wrong.

"Mr Jackson had hoped to buy peace in the process. ... he should have fought these actions to the bitter end and vindicated himself."

The Truth About the 1993 Allegations and the Pay-Off

Geraldine Hughes was the sole legal secretary of Barry Rothman, the attorney of the father (Evan Chandler) of the accuser (Jordie Chandler).

"I was the legal secretary in 1993 to the attorney and I witnessed the extortion scheme against Michael Jackson. I came forth in 1993 and gave my information to the investigators, however, when the case settled, it went nowhere."  Geraldine on soul-patrol.com

In her book, "Redemption: The Truth Behind the Michael Jackson Child Molestation Allegations," Hughes reveals facts that have never been made public, court documented information, public statements and records that she insists prove Jackson's innocence.

The 1993 Tape-Recorded Conversation of Evan Chandler:

On July 2, 1993, in a private telephone conversation, Chandler was tape-recorded as saying,

There was no reason why he [Jackson] had to stop calling me...I picked the nastiest son of a bitch I could find [Evan Chandler's lawyer, Barry Rothman], all he wants to do is get this out in the public as fast as he can, as big as he can and humiliate as many people as he can. He's nasty, he's mean, he's smart and he's hungry for publicity. Everything's going to a certain plan that isn't just mine. Once I make that phone call, this guy is going to destroy everybody in sight in any devious, nasty, cruel way that he can do it. I've given him full authority to do that. Jackson is an evil guy, he is worse than that and I have the evidence to prove it. If I go through with this, I win big-time. There's no way I lose. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever...Michael's career will be over."

—Evan Chandler

In the same conversation, when asked how this would affect his son, Chandler replied, "That's irrelevant to me...It will be a massacre if I don't get what I want. It's going to be bigger than all us put together...This man [Jackson] is going to be humiliated beyond belief...He will not sell one more record".
